This music note is an attempt to construct a visual interpretation of an audio composition. The music is “High life for nine instruments” by Balanescu Quartet: David Burns, Robert Moran, John Lurie, and Michael Torke. For the visual part, fine linen paper was cut into 3"x11" strips and glued together to make a scroll. Pencil graphite was used to mark the background strings. Wool yarn was stitched into the paper to mark the accompanying strings.
