Hey Pablo,
Here are some thoughts on your proposal:
It is very well written and concise. I see where you've come from
(influences ideas) and there is a definite direction for the future,
but with enough room to play with. My biggest suggestion is on format
and subject matter. In both of your pieces you explored certain
methaphors and their absurdities and visual playfullness. What I think
is interesting that you talk about in your proposal is not only the
absurd metaphors themselves but your question of why do people use
metaphors. I think you could create a sort of three dimensional context
for metaphors through your animations, exploring both the absurdity of
the metaphors and the absurdity of people using metaphors. Kind of an
"all about metaphors" kind of thing.
What might also be interesting is if you expounded on you "pastiche"
idea. You draw all these wonderful elements from your favorite artists,
perhaps you can continue to do so and experiment with new visual forms
and styles. Maybe you could incorporate this with the ideas of using
different distinct voices and try to come up with a distinct visual
style to accompany each voice, so the personality of the speaker shows
through in the images.
In short, it's a great concept, I can't wait to see it, brilliance
awaits.
