procedure two involved a group of students and faculty at a local university. i started out by observing the subjects as they passed through a lobby space. in beginning the i tracked movement patterns through the space. after a few days, i was able to identify 8 movement patterns. i speculated that given the time i could formulate formulas predicting the movement throughout the year. there were long periods of time during the day when the space was inactive. it became an observation of nothingness.
