Crumble and Mumble is a graphic and architectural novel for adults
and children with two avian protagonists. Text, image and space are juxtaposed.
The novel's form references illuminated manuscripts, pop-up books, comics,
children's stories and utilizes various media to explore and extend the
character of these precedents. The narrative develops around mishaps and
adventures caused in part by Crumble's insatiable appetite and Mumble's
red ball, a fetish object he carries in his beak at all times.
